Dear Families of Our Brand New 3K & PreK Students,

I am so excited to begin our year together!  I am Ms. Arbolino, the Principal of PS 100.  I know that you have been eagerly awaiting the beginning of your student’s school career!!

Our first day of school is September 13, 2021

We are excited to be part of this new journey with you and your child.  Early Childhood grades are a wonderful new experience.  Our teachers are ready to welcome the students and engage in new discoveries, learning and fun.  We look forward to getting to know all our students as they learn and grow!

In order to build strong communication between home and school, there are a few items that I want to share with you as we begin the school year.

    • Arrival for Pre-Kindergarten In-Person students begins at 8:20 am.  Students cannot be dropped off earlier.
  • TENTATIVE: 3K and Pre-K Students will enter the building through their classroom doors via the small play yard.
  • Due to Covid-19 Visitor Policies - ONLY 1 Family Member can drop off students.
    • Families will line up outside and follow CDC Health and Safety regulations such as social distancing and wearing masks.
    • While waiting outside and when dropping off students, social-distancing protocols must be followed (3 feet apart) both outside and inside the building.
    • Classroom Doors will open at 8:20 am.
  • Masks must be worn by adults and students in order to gain entry to the school building.
  • Temperature and Health Screenings will be conducted every day.
  • If your child is not feeling well or has a fever of 100 degrees or higher, you must keep them home.  Safety and health is our biggest priority.
  • You can prepare for the daily health screening in advance by filling out the questionnaire before you arrive every morning and showing it to the arrival staff member on your phone.  The website is: https://healthscreening.schools.nyc

  • Our school uniform consists of navy on top and khaki (tan) on the bottom.

Additional Information

  • Please download the following apps: Operoo & Class Dojo. These are our main communication tools.
  • Breakfast will be served to all students every morning.
  • Teachers will be reaching out to you with class-specific information.

Thank you for your support and cooperation.  We look forward to working with you throughout the year to ensure the health, safety & education of all of our children and families.
